Quick Time for Myself (time for some emo post??)

0
Just got home from my ‘time being alone’. Yuck parang ang loser naman ng dating. I went to SM Southmall (my ever reliable nearest mall) to buy some stuff needed this coming Sunday. After which I strolled, of course. It took about just half an hour to buy those things. And I was SHOCKED?! Haha never knew that Southmall is now a school/campus with different uniforms! Too many students strolling around as in you look everywhere and you’ll see someone who’s in uniform. And they were shouting, some were even sitting on the floor, they thought they were in some place like Picnic Grove, then someone bumped into me coz they were I think playing habulan. Ok, I’ll stop. Ranting too much, eh? It’s just that they were too many! Also, it was really a good thing I went to SM today not tomorrow because tomorrow until Sunday would be SM’s 3-day sale and you know how Filipinos love SALE.

Ok as for my quick quality time for myself, I treated myself, specifically my digestive system: cheese-flavored fries, Belgian-choco-filed waffle and Hazelnut Cappuccino Zagu. I was supposed to chill at Starbucks alone but when I saw that there were also many students there, I decided otherwise. {I'm not anti-students. Hey, I'm a student too! But students are supposed to be studying! Haha! Sounding like a parent here. They're not supposed to be aloof in uniforms inside malls!}So I bought Zagu instead and went to SM’s fourth floor where there were less people strolling. Then as I was walking, my attention was caught by the wall where the full trailer of For the First Time (Kc Concepcion and Richard Gutierrez’s first movie together) is being projected. So I just stood there watching. *Sigh*, KC Concepcion is undoubtedly pretty and talented – seems like she’s an epitome of a lady who has almost everything – such a blessed person (wondering how’s her relationship with her Creator..).

kc 1kc2

So I went on with my strolling and sat on one of the benches there and was thinking. Come September 2, I would be able to know whether I would already graduate (ok, I claim it!). I’m just feeling so anxious about our thesis! As of this moment, we still don’t have a grade! Gaah! Then I suddenly thought what if we fail (WE’LL PASS, ok?), how will I deal with it? Then I stopped thinking about failing – BECAUSE WE WILL PASS & WILL GRADUATE! I remind myself of Jeremiah 29:11 and I feel better:
For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

Also last night, I had a weird but lovable dream!!! Why?! I dreamt of Chris Tomlin! Hahaha! Serious! I dreamt about him having an album launch of his Hello Love here in the Philippines and I even shook hands with him! Ok, you’re free to laugh at my chimeras! I’m just excited on his album’s release come September 2 (same as judgment day, pfft...). And speaking of albums, I also visited House of Praise a while ago and included the following albums on my wish list:

Kingdom of Comfort Delirious?
I Will Go Starfield
With Hearts as OneHillsong United
Take It To the Streets (Hope 2008)Various Artists

I want all of these albums. I still don’t have enough moolah. (Someone give me these albums please... Grad gifts, anyone?)

After 2 hours inside the mall, I already went home because I wanted to avoid slow traffic. As I was walking along our street, I can already feel the ‘ber’ months’ air. Malamig ang simoy ng hangin. MERRY CHRISTMAS everyone! September is just hours away!

Also I'm into microblogging because I think I'll bum around first before looking for a job and would concentrate first on my church ministry. So I have:
Twitter
Plurk
and the most recent
Tumblr

You guyz, have those accounts?? Add me up or follow me! Haha!

Yesterday I had my very last final exam of my college life. And while waiting for my friends I was observing the school grounds -- Marian quad, amphitheater, Yuchengco building -- and was thinking, -- "It was almost 4 years ago when I first saw these grounds. I even just took the entrance exam back then and here I am now, who just had her last final exam and about to graduate." Wow, God has been with me all the time I was in college, and now i'm about to graduate, He continuously provided all the things I needed. He answered my prayers and worked miracles as well. Thank You, Father.

I don't care what it costs anymore
Cos' you gave it all and I'm following you
I don't care what it takes anymore
No matter what happens I'm going your way

A Very Interesting Conversation ( di ka pa rin ba naniniwala?!?!)

0
I've seen and read this everywhere, I think it's time to repost this... Meron pa about the chalk. (hah? basta.. labo.. next time.. hehe)
THERE IS and WILL FOREVER be a GOD - one & only God.

An Atheist Professor of Philosophy speaks to his Class on the Problem Science has with GOD, The ALMIGHTY.
He asks one of his New Christian Students to stand and . . .

Professor :
You are a Christian, aren't you, son ?
Student :
Yes, sir.
Professor :
So you Believe in GOD ?
Student :
Absolutely, sir.
Professor :
Is GOD Good ?
Student :
Sure.
Professor :
Is GOD ALL - POWERFUL ?
Student :
Yes.

Professor :
My Brother died of Cancer even though he Prayed to GOD to Heal him.
Most of us would attempt to Help Others who are ill.
But GOD didn't.
How is this GOD Good then ? Hmm ?

(Student is silent)

Professor : You can't answer, can you ?
Let's start again, Young Fella.
Is GOD Good ?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
Is Satan good ?
Student :
No..
Professor :
Where does Satan come from ?
Student :
From . . . GOD . . .
Professor :
That's right.
Tell me son, is there evil in this World ?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
Evil is everywhere, isn't it ?
And GOD did make Everything. Correct ?
Student :
Yes.
Professor :
So who created evil ?

(Student does not answer)

Professor :
Is there Sickness ? Immorality ? Hatred ? Ugliness ?
All these terrible things exist in the World, don't they ?
Student :
Yes, sir.

Professor :
So, who Created them ?
(Student has no answer)
Professor : Science says you have 5 Senses you use to Identify and Observe the World around you.
Tell me, son . . . Have you ever Seen GOD ?
Student :
No, sir.
Professor :
Tell us if you have ever Heard your GOD ?
Student :
No , sir.
Professor :
Have you ever Felt your GOD, Tasted your GOD, Smelt your GOD ?
Have you ever had any Sensory Perception of GOD for that matter ?
Student :
No, sir. I'm afraid I haven't.

Professor :
Yet you still Believe in HIM ?
Student : Yes.
Professor :
According to Empirical, Testable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says your GOD doesn't exist.
What do you say to that, son ?
Student :
Nothing. I only have my Faith.
Professor :
Yes. Faith. And that is the Problem Science has.
Student :
Professor, is there such a thing as Heat ?
Professor :
Yes.
Student :
And is there such a thing as Cold ?
Professor :
Yes.
Student :
No sir. There isn't.

(The Lecture Theatre becomes very quiet with this turn of events)

Student :
Sir, you can have Lots of Heat, even More Heat, Superheat, Mega Heat, White Heat, a Little Heat or No Heat. But we don't have anything called Cold..
We can hit 458 Degrees below Zero which is No Heat, but we can't go any further after that.
There is no such thing as Cold.
Cold is only a Word we use to describe the Absence of Heat.
We cannot Measure Cold.
Heat is Energy.
Cold is Not the Opposite of Heat, sir, just the Absence of it.

(There is Pin - Drop Silence in the Lecture Theatre)
Student : What about Darkness, Professor ? Is there such a thing as Darkness ?
Professor :
Yes. What is Night if there isn't Darkness ?
Student :
You're wrong again, sir.
Darkness is the Absence of Something.
You can have Low Light, Normal Light , Bright Light, Flashing Light . . .
But if you have No Light Constantly, you have Nothing and it's called Darkness, isn't it ?
In reality, Darkness isn't.
If it is, were you would be able to make Darkness Darker, wouldn't you ?

Professor :
So what is the point you are making, Young Man ?
Student :
Sir, my point is your Philosophical Premise is Flawed.
Professor :
Flawed ? Can you explain how ?
Student :
Sir, you are working on the Premise of Duality.
You argue there is Life and then there is Death, a Good GOD and a Bad GOD.
You are viewing the Concept of GOD as something finite, something we can measure.
Sir, Science can't even explain a Thought.
It uses Electricity and Magnetism, but has never seen, much less fully understood either one.
To view Death as the Opposite of Life is to be ignorant of the fact that
Death cannot exist as a Substantive Thing.
Death is Not the Opposite of Life : just the Absence of it.
Now tell me, Professor, do you Teach your Students that they Evolved from a Monkey ?
Professor : If you are referring to the Natural Evolutionary Process, yes, of course, I do.
Student :
Have you ever observed Evolution with your own eyes, sir ?

(The Professor shakes his head with a Smile, beginning to realize where the Argument is going)

Student :
Since no one has ever observed the Process of Evolution at work and
cannot even prove that this Process is an On - Going Endeavor,
are you not Teaching your Opinion, sir ?
Are you not a Scientist but a Preacher ?

(The Class is in Uproar)

Student :
Is there anyone in the Class who has ever Seen the Professor's Brain ?

(The Class breaks out into Laughter)

Student :
Is there anyone here who has ever Heard the Professor's Brain, Felt it, Touched or Smelt it ? . . .
No one appears to have done so.
So, according to the Established Rules of Empirical, Stable, Demonstrable Protocol, Science says that
you have No Brain, sir.
With all due respect, sir, how do we then Trust your Lectures, sir ?

(The Room is Silent. The Professor stares at the Student, his face unfathomable)

Professor :
I guess you'll have to take them on Faith, son.
Student :
That is it sir . . .
the Link between Man & GOD is FAITH.
That is all that Keeps Things Moving & Alive.

It's the overflow of a forgiven soul

0
As early as these first words of this blog entry, I’m already asking myself: why do I have to write long entries? Haha!

Why that question? -- Because so many things had happened. One week had passed. And another question that popped – why can’t I write entries right away on the day itself that these things worth writing happened? But this I can answer – because I have other priorities! Naks naman! Haha! Now that I FEEL like I’m graduating, I guess, I would already have enough time to write an entry on the moment something worth writing happens.

And speaking of the giddying word – GRADUATION – last Friday was actually OUR LAST ‘ACADEMIC SCHOOL DAY’ or ‘THE LAST PRESENTATION DAY’ or ‘THE LAST DAY OF CLASSES’ or ‘THE LAST DAY OF MY BEING KOLEHIYALA’. Eeeek! I’m getting excited. But I’m still hopeful. God has wonderful plans for me and so let His will be done. So there ,the LASTS DAY last Friday was actually tiring but good. I went to school having NO SLEEP at all. Read this – NO SLEEP – not even an hour or half an hour or quarter of an hour of sleep. Then we have to cram for that day’s presentation. Oh, procrastinators! But the presentation turned out fine. Then the MFI people (that pertains to people who are same course as mine), specifically the graduating MFI people were all frivolous that day, keep on mentioning ‘last day last day last day’. At first those words didn’t sink in because I was all anxious about thesis and failing. Scratch those words because it actually sank into my brain cells! That was indeed our last day! I only needed to go to school twice or maybe thrice. One, for my NEGOTIN finals. Second, to pass our hardbound thesis. Lastly, for course card day. And then my last term of my last schoolyear is over. Though, I still need to go to school for graduation purposes. Let me do the banana dance here... :D

The CALL for the next generation

I, together with 14 other YU2G, went to CGM Pulilan Chapter in Bulacan yesterday to attend THE CALL conference. We were all so fired up! Praise the Lord for this! The conference was attended by young people from different areas of Bulacan and even from Nueva Ecija. OP kaming mga taga-Manila. Haha! Kiddin’. Our senior pastor gave the talk for the first part of the conference. It was about GIVING OUR WHOLE HEART TO HIM. And yesterday, many young people surrendered WHOLEHEARTEDLY. It was a great moment to ponder. Then the second part of the conference was delivered to us by Pastor Ramil (oooh, I forgot his surname) who also preached to us on our previous youth camp. He talked about how bitterness, and emptiness hinder the young people from surrendering their selves to the Father. And my favorite line of him is this "ANYTHING ADDICTIVE IS DEMONIC!" So so so true. After the preaching, there was a healing session also by Pastor Ramil. That part was also awesome. Indeed, only our Lord can cast away the burdens and the bandages that cause heaviness of our hearts. Kaya lang, bitin talaga yung kay Pastor Ramil, sobra! The young people present yesterday were all geared up and all ready and so they responded to THE CALL – ready to spread His word and make Him famous. Already set to show the others and let know to others of God’s great great great LOVE, MERCY and GRACE. The conference was wrapped up with a super elated singing of THE DANCING GENERATION wherein ALL were singing crazy and literally dancing for HIM. We actually bathe in our own perspiration. One would literally notice the drippings of perspiration on the floor. All were literally jumping. It is so true that JOYFULNESS can only come from the Lord. This conference was a BLAST! Grabe!

YOUTH AMBUSH

A while ago, we did the youth ambush again. Haha! I tell you, it is the most effective way of inviting young people. Our pastor asked all the young people to raise their hands, then to stand up. The ushers assisted them. Then the already members of the youth council ambushed them, went to them and brought them inside one of the rooms. In other words, they were forced to come with us. We saw different reactions – even nasty ones. We were once like that so we totally understood. But... Wow! We were flabbergasted! I think because, we realized that we’re actually planning to win souls from the outside but we can’t even make these bunch of CGM youth active and join the youth council. 60 other CGM young people are yet to be made alive. Now each Yu2G is burdened for their souls. We oriented them of our weekly activities and upcoming events most especially the evangelical service next Sunday. We asked them to attend that service and bring with them a friend. And now we’re praying that these young people who were actually forced would respond to our invitation. We know that it is not by accident that they were present there. From that time on, God will already use them for revival as well. We pray and we claim.

I mentioned in my last entry that I’ll post another entry about SONICFLOOD. I guess I’ll just post some photos and some things that I posted in my multiply album. :D

Praise & Worship Event
August 15, 2008
Araneta Coliseum
8:00 PM

with Nikka & Candy

choco mucho

and because I've learned my lesson, I (we) were so early that we were actually the first ones in the queue! hahaha! So much for excitement, eh?! Common comment: it's not as jampacked as Hillsong United... It is obvious but it doesn't matter coz we know what each one of us and even Sonicflood, came there for, to glorify Him! Upper B and gen-ad (cheap tix prices) were the areas that were jampacked actually...

we have to queue for a total of 2 hours! But we didn't mind because the night was amazing, when you just give your heart out to praise and worship Him, your heart is filled with joy!

There was a praise & worship lead by one band (idk the name, sorry) who sang Time Has Come and King of Majesty. Then there was the sharing of the Word (again I can't recall who)...

then SONICFLOOD!!! Those guyz are amazing! They are Jesus freaks!!!

"crazy worshipers inside the Big Dome insanely worshiping and lifting up their voices and their hands to the Most Holy One"
their songs that I've been loving to sing that was sung that night!:

Open The Eyes of My Heart
Heart of Worship
I Could Sing of Your Love
Cry Holy
Lord of the Dance
Everlasting
I Want to Know You
God is Great

more photos here but you have to be my contact to be able to view it

"before and after" is all that matters to me... :D

0
I’m looking forward to a post that would contain something like ‘Yey! We’re done with thesis defense and we passed it!’. I am so looking forward to it but all I can say what happened yesterday, at around between 10:00 to 11:00 AM, is still something I thank and praise God for. I don’t have BIG news to tell my parents, my friends, churchmates, classmates and to those who interceded for me, even to my blogmates. I don’t have something real BIG or something that would satisfy your and even my reading or hearing or comprehension. I know you’re already sort of getting what I’m trying to say here. *sigh* But but but I still thank the Lord for hearing our prayers. I’m still grateful to the Holy Spirit for being with us yesterday. We may not have achieved what we’re yearning for but God is still good that He never failed us and we did not end up to something worse than what had happened. As what we said yesterday, what’s more important is that we did our BEST (uhmmm...) and we entrusted our thesis and our defense to Him. And as what our yesterday’s ‘theme song’ state (with alterations):
We did our best, but I guess, our best wasn’t good enough, coz here we are back where we were before...

Enough of this thesis, I would like to spend my long weekend pondering on the much better things laid in front of me.

**********

You know why God gave us friends? It is because He wants us to know that apart from Him, there are other persons, who would carry with you your burdens, would lighten up your gloomy mood, would cheer you up when you’re down but would never force you to laugh or even smile when you feel like crying, but instead they’d cry with you. They are present to remind you that you are imperfect and flawed but they don’t mind, they accept you for who you are and you would hand-in-hand change for the better. These are all clichés, but true. So who are the persons (aside from my mommah) I first texted as soon as we’re done with the defense – my friends, orig4.

It’s been a while since we have been complete. The last time was February 14, 2008.

Then yesterday, the usual chill at Starbucks, Las Pinas then McFries attack at McDo, LP.

SONICFLOOD!!!

Another wonderful worship event. Another unforgettable night. Again wow! When someone is being used to glorify His name most especially when it comes to music, I can’t help but be blessed by them. Praise & worship is my all time favourite part of any Christian gathering or event. It’s the time you could sing your lungs out to please Him, to honour Him, to adore Him. And last Friday night, I praise Him for using Sonicflood to lead His people in worshiping. That night is one incredible night, AGAIN! They sang almost all the songs I want.

Open The Eyes of My Heart
Heart of Worship
I Could Sing of Your Love
Cry Holy
Lord of the Dance
Everlasting
I Want to Know You
God is Great

It’s not just the songs that made the night unforgettable. Rick shared how God moved and how God changed His life. He shared how God is the greatest physician of all. They also had an altar call (so, the Patron part was now open for all even for those who were in the Upper boxes). I was actually surprised that one of their guitarists and the drummer and Rick himself, went down the stage, together with the other pastors present, prayed for those who went in front, while the other members of the band played Heart of Worship. I find it uhmm peculiar and unusual. And also many souls were surrendered again to Him. Then after the altar call, it seemed like the night had just began. There were crazy worshipers inside the Big Dome insanely worshiping and lifting up their voices and their hands to the Most Holy One. The night ended with Sonicflood’s Lord of the Dance and an acappella singing of the song I Love You Lord. Also, the guitarists gave away their guitar picks and the drummer gave away his drumsticks...

If not because of the thesis defense the next day, I would have also been in the queue for the autograph signing. Pfft... Sayang talaga... (I might post another separate entry of last Friday night’s event...haha! and I would post the pics with it )

**********

We had an Evangelistic Sunday service a while ago. We had Bill Aujero as our guest speaker. He is someone who had experienced God’s mercy and grace. He was a former New Bilibid prisoner and is notorious for leading ‘hold-ups’ and hi-jacking; he had been imprisoned for 19 years. But inside his ‘special room’, one night in the mid of July, 1978, he read Matthew 11:28:

Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

He knelt and prayed to God, his heart was changed by God. He suddenly found himself sharing the Word of God to other prisoners, and He had been singing and composing songs about God’s move in his life. He had such a superb testimony. And since it was an evangelistic Sunday, there were souls who were brought to Him.

This only shows that whoever you are and WHATEVER your past maybe, God doesn’t count that. All He wants is that you come back to Him. And when God calls you, you can do nothing but follow Him.

Hmmmm... Now makes me excited for the upcoming Youth Evangelistic service.

Bro. Nelson Francisco’s (our church’s sound booth technician, in charge of everything related to sound system and musical instruments) internment happened a while ago. He is a faithful servant of God. He has been with CGM for as long as the church’s lifetime. He used his life in service to our Father. I know we would still be able to meet him up there.

Our life is short but our time is only enough to serve Him.

The release of white balloons have always been a part of Christian burial ceremonies.

Random Whateverisms

I'm done reading Breaking Dawn! Yey! But let me just give some comments. First, there is no Twilight Saga, only Twilight. It stops there. hehe. Second, BD is a 'comedy/humor' book. Third, reading BD is record-breaking, it took almost 2 weeks I think to read it compared to one week reading the first 3 installments. I'm quoting from someone named Mei, Stephenie Meyer was able to conceal the flaws of the BD. I don't like the 'pregnancy thingy'. I don't like the early marriage. There was no real battle!!! I was sooooo expecting a huge battle. So much expectations. But ok, I was able to appreiate BD a little naman... And it just so happened that it coincided with my thesis-ing.

YU2G were the ushers a while ago and we wore corporate attires! Yey! Cool, yeah?! Too bad, no photo evidence.

Tomorrow, I would attend dawnwatch prayer and since we don't have classes we will have fun at SM parking lot! Yey again!!! After only which I would worry about thesis...

I demand all baristas to kindly ask the right spelling of my 'Merie'.

The sky will fall the ground will give
through it all You will be faithful
friends may leave they come and go
this I know You will be faithful

You will always be the same
Your love will never change
You are the Everlasting
I will put my trust in You forever to be true
You are the everlasting

when beauty fades and slips away
for all my days You will be faithful
when I breathe my final breath
I find my rest in Your faithfulness

when all around us is falling into waste
when the earth is dying you cannot be erased
and I don't have to be afraid

You're the Alpha and Omega
You're forever, Everlasting

When Unlimiteds and Fruitcakes Are Combined...

0
First, as you may have noticed I have a new layout that is proudly made by none other than ME!! Yey!! :D It is my very first layout... Hoorah! Hmmm I’m actually thinking of changing the background (the white one) into a black one. I’m not used to so bright/light. What do you think??

Today’s yet another lovely Sunday. In celebration of the Buwan ng Wika, the songs sung during the praise and worship is in Filipino. Nationalism much? Yes! There are words or feelings that are better expressed in Filipino. That was random I think.

Nag-iisang ikaw sa puso ko...
Kaya’t papuri ko’y dinggin mo...
Narito ang buhay ko, inaalay sa ‘yo,
Hesus ako ngayo’s ingatan mo.

Then the Word of God is yet another WOW for me. All because I feel that God is gearing me and the rest of the congregation for the upcoming revival. The sermon is about Passion for Souls (whuut?! PASSION again! Hahaha! NVM this! haha!) And now, there’s no backing out, win souls! How many people don’t know Him yet? How many are still lost? And what will you do about it?

When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
-Matthew 9:36

It is really wonderful how God moves. He brought my feet to that Friday night WOW event.

Yes, LORD, walking in the way of your laws,
we wait for you;
your name and renown
are the desire of our hearts.
-Isaiah 26:8

Then the following Sunday, His message of how He saved us to SERVE Him (a follow-up to Yes, LORD)...

How much more, then, will the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself unblemished to God, cleanse our consciences from acts that lead to death, so that we may serve the living God!
-Hebrews 9:14
On how trials would (still) be present despite you serving Him...

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
- 1 Peter 4:12-14

And today’s sermon on passion for the souls of the lost seem like God is revealing a message to me. Act NOW (no opportunities wasted)! No lagging. No ifs. No buts.

These are no part of coincidence. It was purposed. It is meant to happen. Or if it is all just my own thoughts or preconceived notion, I would still consider it as a wake-up call.

**********

And for the weekly YU2G gatherings, today’s the second Sunday of the month so this means -- M12, youth gathering, and officers’ meeting. Unfortunately we weren’t able to discuss Lesson 5 since most of the youth were late because council meetings were moved from 1 PM to 12 PM. M12 was also cancelled due to the fact that we want to make use of the time in discussing the upcoming Youth Annual, evangelistic Sunday, Marillac outreach and some other stuff. Students that we are had really been so busy that we lost track of time! It’s almost a year ago when we have done planning like this. Whew! Today’s YU2G meeting was (thank God!) productive! Nice job YU2G! I can see YU2G growing...

Since my former blog was lost (*sniff sniff*) where I have an entry about last year’s annual, allow me to recall through these photos what was up almost a year ago...

We have a Youth Convention & Annual back to back:

For the Youth Aflame convention we had the following great servants of God who blessed us all who were inside the worship hall that day:

The Youth annual was really tiring, having to celebrate it overnight and did I mention that we started 8AM and ended 3AM the next day??? It was indeed tiring but was Fun... It was all for fellowship and FOR HIM.

I and Divs were the ‘emcees’. I know we’re opposites! Haha!

Last year’s theme was something to do with “Halloween” that’s why “Holy-Win” and the theme-related games and opening number.

And this year we planned on something mouth-watering... Haha!

God's Order - Upsized Spirit
(fastfood concept)

(the poster below is still tentative, Julienne already submitted a draft, yey Julie!!!)

Also, of course we planned for the coming 5th Sunday Evangelism where each one of us SHOULD bring one ‘unbeliever’... I’m excited for these souls. We pray that this Sunday should not just be ordinary to them because it is a day that they would be able to meet the ABBA FATHER, THE MOST HOLY ONE, THE GREAT GOD, THE ONE WHO SAVED THEM...

And Yu2G, who’s up for an overhaul? Ah there, US!

**********

Looks like my blog has been awakened as well?! haha! My blog suddenly turned out into a 'photo album'. You know how a picture paints a thousand words. But, still, my 1st three entries in this blog are like forever -- they're loooong! hahaha!

Random Whateverisms:

I'm getting thinner and lighter and I hate it!!! Can't wait to graduate so I can sleep as long as I want and not to carry with me Brusko and other school stuff. I get to eat anytime I want, too.

I'm still not done reading BD (now this is record-breaking, a week now!). I'm stuck at Book 2.

Thesis defense is up in about 5 sleep/less nights.

I need to buy the Sonicflood ticket on Tuesday...

And You're the best thing that has happened to me
And the world will never take
The world will never take You away

Forever Hangover

0
Ok, this post is yet another fruit of the Passion Manila aftermath! I know I know! You maybe wondering what on earth is this blogger again gonna blog about –Passion Manila – whuuut?!?! Then you would stop reading... HA.HA.HA!

Just think of it this way – you just arrived home from a wonderful event or let’s say concert (and now let me use the very recent A.Keys concert, that I wasn’t able to go to...) and you wanna tell everyone how nice, how great, how cool, how fantastic Alicia Keys was on the concert. On how you shouted your lungs out and joined with the crowd and blah and blah and blah. Or maybe you just can’t contain how the event was soooooo uber successful that EVERYONE totally EVERYONE enjoyed it.

But, but, BUT!!! The event I'm referring to wasn’t even a concert. It’s not any near than a ‘sit-in’ concert! It’s not an event where the audience are mere watchers. It’s not a SIMPLE event. It’s a GRACIOUS event.

It’s an event that’s all for HIM. It’s where the audience participate – united and with ONE HEART. An event where the audience didn’t just scream their heart out but their souls; where the audience danced and jumped; and where the audience humbly lifted up their hands. It’s where the main attraction is someone who is RENOWNED universally!!! It’s actually INDESCRIBABLE. AWESOME. AMAZING. WOW. WOW. WOW.

So i’ll stop before this would end up yet another looooong entry. And so I just want to reiterate that i’ll be having this hangover ---- FOREVER!

From time to time I’m visiting the 268blog to refresh and to remind me of that night and how 7000++ youth responded YES LORD (no ifs, no buts, no excuses) and how I wish we knew each other and would constantly be a reminder to each and every one. If only each one of the 7000++ would be able to bring even just A SOUL, how lovely that would be. I’m keeping this in my prayers... I’m praying that our flames would keep burning and keep longing for more of HIM. I wanna be insane for Him. And FOR HIS RENOWN, I would be a fruitcake together with the others like those from KL and Jakarta (oh yes, try to visit 268blog about Passion KL &Jakarta and see for yourself how the youths of a Muslim-dominant-nation were moved by God, 500++ & 800++ comments and counting!)

Just wanna share some photos (credits to Jez, Tine and BeccaMusic):

and can you still remember this wristband/wrist-strap/Passion strap worn last Aug.1??
[EDIT](Jez! I just noticed that the watermarks of your photos here were overlapped by the frames, my bad, really am sorry... Credits to Jezreel Faith Manugue)[/EDIT]
Guess what?? I'm still wearing it up until this moment I'm typing!!! Now praying for Johannesburg, SA!

*********

Last night, because my night class was cancelled, I got the chance to attend our church’s midweek service. And oh WOW! I loved the way I’m longing to worship HIM. Also, the last night’s sermon was about why do men experience trials? As much as I want to share it ALL outta here, I think I won’t since it’s kinda long and has many points. Allow me to share with you this verse:

Dear friends, do not be surprised at the painful trial you are suffering, as though something strange were happening to you. But rejoice that you participate in the sufferings of Christ, so that you may be overjoyed when his glory is revealed. If you are insulted because of the name of Christ, you are blessed, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests on you.
- 1 Peter 4:12-14

All over again, it made me realize, cliché it may seem -- TRIALS MAKE US STRONG. We are experiencing trials because He wants to mold us into a far better person. Plus, no matter how many trials one encounters, let us not forget that He is always with us, He is our helper, and He will never leave us.
“Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you."
So we say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid.
What can man do to me?"
-Hebrews 13:5-6

So whenever you experience trials, think of how a sword is made, how pencils are sharpened, how pots are molded, and how Jesus suffered before He resurrected and was glorified.

Wow. I wanna be a FRUITCAKE. I am!

So it’s been officially 9 days since my 3-year-old blog was removed/lost/deleted/evicted from cyberspace. Just please don’t ask me why and how because I don’t know the answer. All I know is that I HAVE NO INTENTIONS OF DELETING THAT BLOG but kismet it is, it was, it happened. As you can see I’m still using my old layout. Thankfully, I was able to save a copy of it in notepad. I’m planning to change my layout late August or September, I don’t know. I’m using this layout just to remind myself of my precious blog – like “in loving memory thing”. Lols. I have so many things to blog about. And this would be my first official entry. And I know the entry I would be posting would just like ‘spam’ cyberspace because it’s about something recent and something that’s about to happen. Let me now start blabbing.
