Travel Tuesday: Promenade HK

0
Yay!!! I am finally done on "documenting" my HK trip after a year and a half! Haha! This is the final installment of my so-called Hong Kong photo diary. It was our last full day in HK and so after our museum visits, and shopping in Central, and hoarding in H&M and Nike in between (no H&M in Manila yet back then and they were ON SALE!!!), we just chilled walk along The Promenade where the Avenue of Stars is as well. We also watched the light show. Visiting by this area is absolutely free, in our case, it's just a 10-minute walk away from the place we stayed in. You get to see one good view of the other side. Pwedeng gawin to sa Manila e. Ewan ko ba! Haha!

Hayyyyy right this moment I am finishing this sentence, I wanna go back to shop. When I experienced Hong Kong, I finally understood why people go there to just shop shop shop! I must say it's indeed Asia's doorway to world-class shopping, I mean, all the brands at reasonable and sometimes even cheaper prices are there! Big brands got their own big shops, outlet shops are everywhere, and even imitations are everywhere, too. Exclusive finds are available as well. Masarap pumunta ng Hong Kong if maraming pera para gastusin pang-shopping. Anyway, photos below...

We called it a day and had coffee somewhere along The Promenade. Sadly, didn't find a Hong Kong tumbler here. I felt super happy and thankful that once in my life, and hopefully I may be able to go back, I visited this country. Back then, I said, unti-unti lang. Someday, I would be able to visit ALL the countries I long to visit and this is just the beginning.

And then it was time to go home...

P.s. I am experimenting on making my own action preset in Photoshop the reason why photos looked like sabog hahaha!

125. First Backpacking Adventure: CARAMOAN ISLANDS!

12
LAG POST at its finest.

As mentioned in one of my previous previous post, this was what I got giddy about. And now, time allowed me to update this blog regarding this unforgettable, first time, fun backpacking adventure at CARAMOAN!

Remember, or did I? Anyway, our initial plan way back August/September was supposedly November of last year. But our pockets didn't allow us to. Blessedly, February was good to us, because we were expecting our SL conversion! The budget automatically went to Caramoan trip. :) No regrets, 'cos we deserved this trip.

The curiosity of 'how does it feel like having a long train ride?' led us to try PNR from Divisoria to Naga, Bicol. This is added to the fact that we planned this trip to be tightly-budgeted. It's way cheaper than a plane ride, but also took way longer as well. The islands are not easily accessible. And since we're on a tight budget, we have to do the commuting the 'rough' way. San niyo gusto mag-start ang commuting? Okay, let's take off from Buendia station. No, not MRT, the PNR train. Kwento type. PNR to Divisoria. From Divi to... okay an unnecessary longer than usual stopover at Lucena! Nasira si PNR. We stopped there for an hour. Which made us arrive at Naga Station at around almost 6AM already instead of 4AM. From Naga train station we have to ride a tricycle to the shuttle van station, which lead us to Sabang port. From Sabang port, we had a rough boat ride!! The waves were rough. Someone who has motion sickness would definitely not make it to the islands without vomiting. I don't intend to scare, it's just my way of telling how rough the ride could possibly be. After an hour of the rough boat ride. We finally reached Guijalo port! The ride to Guijalo already teased us with what's awaiting us at the islands.

At the sleepers coach, PNR.
