WIW: Valentine's Day 2015

0
Not exactly on the 14th of February but a day after, this is what I wore. Finally, I was able to wear my current chic purchase from Chic Curator (Instagram: @chiccurator), the green Marina necklace. Apart from scarves, necklaces are a favorite accessory, too. The dress is from Ensembles but designed by Vania Romoff.

WIW: Scarf as Belt

0
One Saturday afternoon, after one client meeting and one gown pick-up I headed to meet the last batch of trainees I handled as a trainer from one previous job that I had. This is a group of girls I believe have played an important role on where am I now. And feeling a lot casual that day, I wore shirt and shorts to meet them. Then accessorized my scarf as a belt and put on red lipstick. I don't know why but I was feeling confident that day! Leaving with you my ggss feeling fashion blogger photos. Hahaha!

Bench shirt. Guess shorts (from my Mom which is once a pair of pants). Parisian mandals. Kenneth Cole Reaction bag.

WIW: Anniversary Eve

It was a quick getaway where else but in Tagaytay. It's colder these days hence the long-sleeved top that I wore and much more colder upon arrival in Tagaytay. This is what I wore on the day before our anniversary as we roamed around the nth time in this city.

Top - Mom's. Scarf from Singapore. Long skirt - The Berries.

Well, hi! And now I post my very first #ootd for 2015! Nothing really special. However, I feel glad as the current weather permits me to wear my scarves yay!!! Just like what I wore as I did some weekend duties. Don't you just love that wind effect on my scarf on the below photo? Hahaha! Anyway, it's the first weekend of 2015 and the last weekend to enjoy the holidays! Waaah!! Why do the relaxed and chill life have to end?? Anyway, hope everyone's having a good new year thus far.

Style Tuesday: Maternity Peg

0

I have always been a fan of Kate Middleton. My fondness of her went to a notch higher, and not just some princess-wanna-be fancy, when I’ve watched her biography. And since I’ve known a bit of her life story, she somehow became a life peg – of gaining self-confidence, of her humble path towards being a princess, of being elegantly simple. As the buzz is all about her very near due, the arrival of the royal baby, my latest liking turned towards her maternity style. I maybe still far from having a baby, but, she’s already in the list of my maternity pegs, most especially in the way she styles herself. I like how simple and elegant (as always!) she dons herself, even during pregnancy. Yet, she also manages to mix high street style and high end sophisticated brands – she’s actually wearing two Topshop dresses on the photos above! Being pregnant, a woman should still look her best and not “manangly”! But of course, more than these brands is how she’s blooming and beautiful as a mommy-to-be.

163. Style Tuesday: Karla Deras

0
Talk about having ample time on my hands, actually trying not to have a buhay lola tonight and trying not to sleep at 1:13AM (despite needing to wake-up at most 6AM), Tuesday, April 2, so I'm blogging about Karla Deras of Karla's Closet. I've been following her blog since 200~ okay I can't remember but it's been years! The thing I like about her style is her ability to mix and match without looking blatantly attention-savvy, and still be able to look really classy even in sweatshirts. She's like someone off the runway but in a really subtle way. Classy, elegant, light -- are some of the words I would use to describe her style. I would totally raid her wardrobe most especially her pointed shoes and gold stuff! I would also want to have my hair styled as hers but not enough guts me has. Haha.

Some of her latest styles from her blog Karlscloset

p.s. I also really like her blog, so minimalist. I could again use the adjective classy even with her blog.

137. Of Blazers

0
One of the must-haves and must be a staple in anyone's closet - blazers!

The gloomy weather made me want to shop for blazers. And I mean lots of blazers!!Gone are the days that blazers are worn only for the corporate setting and the business world. This piece of clothing has evolved from formal to casual. I grew up seeing my parents wearing them and pairing them with pencil skirts and tailored slacks. But that is so 90s! Fast forward to this age, we commonly see it casually easily breezily paired with jeans. It's fun to style outfits and top them off with blazers. You know those days when one is too lazy to dress up -- just pull on any undershirt, even as simple as a white undershirt then just put on your trusty blazer and voila! You're good to go! But of course don't forget to wear any bottoms.
