WIW: Saturday Summer Feels

0
It was a busy busy Saturday but I am not complaining. Last Saturday was so productive; it was a happy pill for me! The only thing that irritated me that day was the unwarranted SUMMER HEAT!! I believe the temperature that day rose up to 36.5 Celsius high! Thank God for air-conditioning!! As you may already know I AM NOT A FAN of SUMMER. One of the few good things for me that I love about summer is I am free to wear “lighter” and shorter clothes without being much bothered by the rain or the cold. It’s one season to give those layers a rest and simply put on a dress. My outfit last Saturday may not be a dress but it’s a perfect example on how someone should dress lightly! Haha! I am wearing a comfy printed sheer top from Miss Merie. It’s actually my lazy outfit, top and shorts, most especially these HOT summer days.

Another go-to outfit not just on summer is dresses! It’s so easy to just slip in a dress then off I go! I always enjoy creating and shopping for dresses. I frequently visit Polyvore as the choices on this site seem endless! But of course, it's more of a window-shopping online. Just last Saturday I was doing my rounds of gathering inspiration for my designs, and I chanced upon these pretty nice dresses and it actually caters locally!! I almost shopped!! I had to stop before I click on the proceed to payment button. Anyways, let me end it here before this crazy heat completely drain my energy as I have some dresses to make for my clients as well. :)

WIW: Valentine's Day 2015

0
Not exactly on the 14th of February but a day after, this is what I wore. Finally, I was able to wear my current chic purchase from Chic Curator (Instagram: @chiccurator), the green Marina necklace. Apart from scarves, necklaces are a favorite accessory, too. The dress is from Ensembles but designed by Vania Romoff.

WIW: Scarf as Belt

0
One Saturday afternoon, after one client meeting and one gown pick-up I headed to meet the last batch of trainees I handled as a trainer from one previous job that I had. This is a group of girls I believe have played an important role on where am I now. And feeling a lot casual that day, I wore shirt and shorts to meet them. Then accessorized my scarf as a belt and put on red lipstick. I don't know why but I was feeling confident that day! Leaving with you my ggss feeling fashion blogger photos. Hahaha!

Bench shirt. Guess shorts (from my Mom which is once a pair of pants). Parisian mandals. Kenneth Cole Reaction bag.

WIW: Anniversary Eve

0
It was a quick getaway where else but in Tagaytay. It's colder these days hence the long-sleeved top that I wore and much more colder upon arrival in Tagaytay. This is what I wore on the day before our anniversary as we roamed around the nth time in this city.

Top - Mom's. Scarf from Singapore. Long skirt - The Berries.

WIW: Mind Museum Day

0

Freeway top | H&M skirt | white shoes from Korea | Abby Jocson bag
Nothing essentially special with this post’s outfit – not even a Miss Merie post haha but still thought of posting this because back on the day this photo was taken, I told myself that I would post this hahaha! Labo diba, laki ng problema ko.

I like this shot, I feel cheery, maybe because it was really a fun day! This is what I wore when Luke, Andrea, Luke’s pretty niece, and I went to Mind Museum and strolled around High Street and also around Glorietta. It was also a day of shopping!! Oooh, I guess that previous sentence’s the cause of the cheery vibe haha! This photo also makes me miss my short hair. It’s been four months!!

WIW: Magenta Lace and Floral

0
Yes it's another Miss Merie outfit post! This stretch pencil cut floral skirt instantly gives a girly vibe, don't you think? I paired it with my magenta lace top and made the outfit very appropriate for Mean Girls' on-Wednesdays-we-wear-pink-rule. I'm keeping this post short and announcing my first-ever blog giveaway. Not actually, it's a Miss Merie giveaway! Haha! Just simply follow the steps below and you already earn the chance to win this skirt!

WIW: Royal and Floral

0
Another Miss Merie outfit. I wore my personal favorite top from the SS14 collection on the previous outfit post; this time around I wore my personal favorite floral skirt. Don’t you like it as well? I paired it with my royal blue long-sleeved top, and that’s where royal and floral came from. If it’s not royal blue I would still call it so just because I want it rhyming with floral. Hahaha!

Want the skirt? You may visit http://facebook.com/MissMerieOnline to order. We might also restock so do watch out for it in case your size is unavailable, or better yet you could message me if you would want to order this style.

WIW: Gloomy Humpday

0
What I wore one Wednesday when the weather was acting bipolar. It's summer but it was raining, or drizzling but sun still shining. Just like my outfit I guess. It's all greyish but with a touch of teal brightness. And debuting is my short and ash brown hair. Feeling gloomy as well as at this point last week I was already having separation anxiety with the people I worked with for 14 months, of the place I've become accustomed to.

WIW: Weekend no.9

0
What I wore when I spent another productive Saturday night with the Book Club, which is by the way still nameless. I was starting to feel summer-y hence the laid back outfit. I've had this long-sleeved top for years but I can only count how many times I wore it given that it's actually comfortable. Also, this is one pair of shorts I like because it's slightly "hugging" my thighs. Alam niyo naman sobrang payat ko kung hindi pang-kids hindi ganun ka-fit sa 'kin. Hahaha! Parang ang drama ng itsura ko dito. So better have a look at my smiling face below. Hahaha labo ko lang.

WIW: Weekend no.3

0

Here’s another outfit post. It’s becoming a regular!! But in fact I don’t think I have any pending outfit post after this hahaha! Anyway, this is what I wore on the third Saturday of this year. That day, our book club had its very first official meeting. Weeks from then however, we still can’t think of a name! Hahaha! Help, anyone? This outfit is perfect for that weekend. It’s comfortable except that, again, I’m wearing a skirt so I can’t just squat anywhere. If you remember this post, I am wearing the same skirt, only in different color, which I bought from The Berries. I would love to have the rest of the colors but as I’ve mentioned many times, I. NEED. TO. SAVE. So maybe the skirt goddesses could just randomly send me a package containing lots of skirts in it. The striped cover is from Nava Ph which I especially like. I’ve been using it regularly since I bought it last year. I’m also wearing Necktee from Pompyang Tayo which can now be bought at Bratpack in Greenbelt 5. :) Of course the shoes, my first ever Sperry pair was given by my boss amo, the love of my life, my baby, my bebelgam, Luke. Siya talaga highlight ng post na to e hindi yung outfit hahaha! And yes, I loooove this pair!! And that’s it…. I’m done with this post!

210. OOTD 06012013

0

And here I am feeling fashion blogger when in fact this outfit is just a result of laziness-turned-out-fine. One lazy first-of-June morning, I was prepping to meet the dentist to remove the stitches of my gums. It was supposed to be a no-alarm-clock day, but I have to get up early for the early appointment, thus the laziness. Just a top and a pair of short pants – this is what I was thinking as I rummage through my clothes. Then I saw this top which I haven’t worn for over a year. It was a cheap top costing only Php50, scored by Mom directly from a dressmaker. Then I paired it to this high-waist pair of shorts from Divisoria. I liked how this outfit turned out so I thought of using the pair of platforms from Charles & Keith which I was also able to use only once since I bought it. And that is the lame history-slash-disclaimer why I’m working on this outfit post. Haha! It also so happened that the sister is around -- someone would unprofessionally capture my outfit shots. This is too much for trying to be hahaha!

123. Mother's Day

2
Both parents are special to us but nothing beats a mother-daughter tandem. And in my case, I admit that I'm a Mama's girl. I've grown to be spoiled to my Mom. And what I am now is greatly influenced by her -- emotionally, physically (I got most of my genes from her except my built which I got from my grandmother Father's side), the 'instincts', her love for dressing up, her being choosy and even how people have their first impression on us as 'matarays'. Yes, I don't know if those are carried by the genes as well but I sure have a lot of obvious resemblance to my Mom.

Cakes, gifts, flowers, long queue everywhere! No it's not Valentine's day, it's Mother's Day! :)

Our family also celebrated it -- despite 'celebrating it' on a queue for one-third of the time. So next time, I'll make it a point to book reservations.

After attending church service which of course the sermon and the ceremonies are all for our mother dears, I gave her the cake I bought from Tous Les Jours.

122. In An Attempt To...

1

Wow, cool. I'm just surprised with myself that I'm posting again -- one of the reasons why I love a 12pm-9pm shift over 3pm-12mn.

I'm blogging because I'm about to share some stuff that most wouldn't care about -- my frustrations. Close friends, best friends, the boyfriend, colleagues, batchmates, officemates, coffemate, check mate, okay enough. They are aware that I have this dream of becoming a fashion designer. But, to cut the long story short, I'm in a finance career right now. Labo no? Just you wait, huh 'Merie Clarete' would be a big name. Naks! Malakas ako sa area na 'to.

To somehow emit the frustrations I have in me, I try to sketch and draw outfits, gowns, dresses, anything that can be worn, once in a while. I don't do it 'formally'. I do it leisurely, everywhere, when the mood comes, whatever medium, kahit tissue paper pa yan, I would randomly sketch, with a theme at the back of my mind. I'm not good at drawing! One of the reasons why I have been wanting to enroll in a design school is to enhance my skills. I've got basics but look at the proportions, the rendering, the shading -- my 'works' are filled with flaws! Let's consider them 'abstract' while I'm still learning. Excuses.

Last Friday, I have just finished working on a task and not having any pends, I made use of the scratch papers scattered in front of me and started sketching. Voila! I have a three-piece summer collection.

What can you say? Oha oha! Lumelevel kay Inno Sotto! Kidding aside, I still have that dream in me. I personally believe that God has not placed this dream in my heart for no purpose at all. So watch out for what my life-long dream will become. And remember the name, Merie. *wink wink*

On a related note to fazyon, in an attempt to model and be a seemingly fashion blogger, let's pretend that this is a legit outfit post.
