Skye with HS Loves

0
January 25, 2014

Yayyy another night out with my high school barkada! Chi, who’s now working in Singapore, had a week-off and visited our humble country. Thus, this night out at Skye., It was a first for most of us and we like the place the ~ambiance~.

Official photos from Skye's Facebook page

We took photos and did some catching up with each other. We were not complete but most of us were there. Actually, I was sickly that night and we have to leave early. Boo me. Sayang we were enjoying the company and the place. Here are the photos:

256. A Night in PJs

0

It feels like we’re high school all over again!! Yes!! Just hosted a slumber party last Friday-Saturday with my girls, and some of the guys dropping by too! Apart from me, being the hostess was second to the last to arrive shame on me I know haha, everything was funnnn!!! We felt like teenagers again! The girls were cooking and the guys were watching the FIBA Asia Philippines-Kasakhstan game or maybe catching up or just plainly talking among themselves. Sorry guys, no booze if I’m the one to host hehe. And I cooked my just recent tried recipe creamy tuna pasta. I guess it’s enough to feed our tummies. Hahaha! Beng prepared her ever favourite wicked oreos! And Julie topped it off with vanilla ice cream! Yummm! We also played Kinect Xbox360 Dance Central! We enjoyed it!!! Ang saya lang talaga! But at 2AM, the guys have to go and we girls were left to ourselves.

217. Beng's Silver Celebration

1

Usually June and July are the months of ‘reunion’ with my high school buddies. We have six celebrants for June and July which is obviously the reason why the bulk of our get-together happens on these months.

Kicking it off with Beng’s birthday celebration…

127. Good Times with Friends!

0
An anonymous saying goes “Books and friends should be few but good.” I don’t just agree but totally can relate to it – both in books and friends. Let me dwell on ‘friends’. Having few but definitely REAL friends is way better than a lot of on and off shallow friendships. It’s better to have few of whom you can surely turn to on down times than to be passed around to those numerous friends. But I am not against having many friends! If you’ve really got a lot of trustful ones, then you are blessed! Having few friends -- I blame it for my being introvert, my conservative parents, being a home buddy – content with art and reading materials, writing medium some TV shows. I may have a few but I’m more than definite to keep them for the rest of the time I’m breathing air.

112. Birthmonth Day 19 Finally Mr. Hari ng Sablay

0
No matter how long it took him, he graduated!

I have this close friend whom I always pick on when it comes to ‘studies’. It’s a friendly teasing and some sort of inside joke. So we celebrated his graduation at his crib. He was the host. Gujab gujab Eo! :) It was also good catching up with my friends though we were also together last week. We ate and ate and ate and talked and spent time on the psychological tests. We went home at around 6 in the morning. I can’t remember when was the last time I stayed late with my HS friends.

So the photos…

110. Birthmonth Day 12 Of Food and Music

0
It was indeed a weekend of food and music that spells F-U-N. I was with my high school friends and we spent the birthday of Chi and mine as well. We had a really stomach-filling dinner at Yakimix Mall of Asia branch.

Let the photos do the talking.

Weekend no.47

0
Nov 21, 2009

The day thrilled up as soon as the sun had set. Movie date with Friday club feat. Armon.

So after Julio had SMS-ed us that there are available seats in Festival Mall, Julie, Nik, Armon and I had our final YES to see the New Moon movie which was actually long been scheduled -- a year ago. Just sad, other BERKS whom I greatly expect of didn't respond. Boo Y'ALL! Busy much eh? Anyways, the screening started 9:05PM. Uhmmm, I don't have much to tell about a lame-sleepy movie. As what I expected, the novel itself is not worthy of a movie and voila! I was right. I don't even know why others applauded when the credits were already being shown. And as I always say, don't judge a movie by its book is HIGHLY applicable. I swear I napped for a little less than 5 mins. Oh, some people shrieked that time Jacob removed his shirt. Whuuut? Just a few things I loved about the movie:

not in hiatus just busy

0
It's been 2 weeks, almost 2 weeks since my last update. This Blogspot of mine went down in my priority list. One top-lister is SLEEP and errr Plurk, I need to get a 100 karma asap so that I can leave it alone and not already mind when its karma points are going down. I can't even visit my pet, Furawe in Pet Society, can't even play Mafia and Fashion Wars. Haha! But I check on my Multiply, Twitter and Tumblr. Hahaha!

As rare as I update this blog is as often as I update my written journal. The everyday happenings, events, resents, raves, rants, imaginations, realizations, etc are written there, to the point that I'm bound to replace it soon.

Tralalalalalalalalala

0
Hello! It's been a week. I'm too lazy to make a new post. Random random random. I plan to change the layie again maybe a week from now. Opt for the new blogger template. I'll give it a try again and use it for a longer time.

Well, I'm kind of excited but I don't wanna let my excitement spoil the chances of my family having a vacation after... *counts* ...3 years. I want, SO WANT, to visit our province. The last time, I even went alone. My parents are darn so busy with-i-don't-know so I pleaded this time. Guess what my reason is?
"Ma, Pa, next year I feel like I'll already be working, so on summer I can't really visit them as long as I want. Now, I have the chance."

today is definitely a Sunday

0
I'm supposedly watching THE KATINAS concert by now but i'm blogging from inside my room. My mother didn't give me money to buy tix for some blunder i did last night. Plus, I'm going there alone. Sad.

So i've got a 'new layie' here. Pretty lame layout for me. I'll use this for the mean time. I'm working on a new layie and i'm lazy to tweak and edit and stuff so I ended up making use of a Blogger template. It's Sunday once again. Got home at around 7pm. I missed my church! Today is Praise & Worship celebration Sunday. We celebrate it whenever there's a fifth Sunday, like this month. The line up is nice because my favorite songs were there, nyahaha! I just love praise & worship. I feel privileged to give glory and to sing and to dance for the King of kings. One of the best feelings is praising and giving glory to His name. There was just a 15-minute preaching a while ago. It was about Jesus The Provider. I've written entries on how I still can't seem to find the right job for me. But one thing is for sure -- HE already provided it -- I just have to wait! Thank You LORD! Remember in the Bible how Jesus was able to feed 5000 people (whatever the bible critics say) and how birds get to live everyday when there's actually no one feeding them? And whatever you need right now, just call unto Him, for He is the God that listens and the God who answers our prayers.

Bonggang bonggang fun fun!

0
Hello blog! I'm writing with aches from different parts of my body. You'll later know why.

I had a blast this weekend. Thank God for Igoy inviting us, and Chen for having us in her debut. Wow! It's by far the coolest debut I've been to. One of the best! And Tita Ethelwilda for being such a nice Mom-slash-Tita for always welcoming us and "spoiling" our barkada on this kind of stuff.

Now let me do the 'talking...

Back when I was studying (naks, graduate na kasi haha!), back when I was just writing our thesis, I used to have no sleep at all. I'm awake for more than 24 hours. You feel so tired and yet you go home, you still need to be awake to continue working on thesis coupled with some other academics stuff. Exhausting. But just last October 17-18, I was awake more than 24 hours not because of school stuff - but because I've been to different 'places' with different people. Those were still tiring but FUN! I've been to Las Pinas, Quezon City and Paranaque in 24 hours. I got to bond with HS friends, college friends, churchmates, co-ministries and with my sister and be with my family in 24 hours. I laughed, shared and heard stories, had fun with friends, ate-all-I-can (Tramway, thanks Candy), watched movie (Tropic Thunder, one hilarious movie. MUST-WATCH), felt sadness (loved ones depart), cried, listened to the Word of God, prayed, worshiped, exhorted -- in 24 hours. That's how much time we have. Imagine our lives, when we don't need to sleep 8-hours and don't get tired or sleepy, we can do really really lots and loads of things. But at the end of they day. We need sleep. I need sleep.

And isn't it also lovely that photos can paint 24 hours?

P.s. Today's Nik's bday! His debut! I've been friends with him since we were nursery. That old. So, happy debut! Nikolai Ante Flores!

Octoberian

Mood:
My Unkymood Punkymood (Unkymoods)

Wow it’s been *counts* 18 days since my last update! I’m errr BUSY. Yes. Busy being a BUM. Nah. I just don’t feel like updating. I reserved it ESPECIALLY for this post. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

But this week was indeed a busy week for me.

[EDIT: I already 'collaged' the pictures for easy viewing]
September 30

I was in my alma mater from 9AM to 9PM to claim my toga, attend the baccalaureate mass just to have a feel of it (im not a Catholic), practice for CBE Recognition rites and practice for the graduation itself. Of course, I bonded with my college friends as well. My HS friends DADA & JULIE went there and we had a MINI chat. And for the last time , my parents fetched me at La Salle and we ate at McDo as requested by my bro who ever-so-loves-McDo. And so I bonded with my family as well. It was a tiring but FUN and MEANINGFUL day!

It was supposed to be a holiday but I didn’t stay home, instead I went searching for a dress with my Mom, and she as well looked for something to wear on my grad day. I was again tired but loved the way I took photos of myself in different ‘outfits’ inside the fitting room. Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

October 3

DLSU-Manila College of Business and Economics (CBE) Recognition Rites. 2 tigresses went inside the walls of the archers so I toured them. Then we stayed at McDo (again) Las Pinas and Starbucks Las Pinas with Beng & Julio til 11 PM.

October 4

OH YESSSSSS!
De La Salle University Manila 153rd Commencement Exercises at the PICC.
WOW WOW WOW.

I marched. I bowed. I/we were declared graduates. Moved the tassel to the left. Got my diploma. Oath-taking. Alma Mater hymn – hail hail hail! And picture-taking. Ugh! Thanks to my 2 cameras for being empty on this important day (grad pics another post). It’s not my fault my mother left the chargers in her office that I wasn’t able to charge them.

It was just like days but it was already 4 years ago when I first stepped on the floors of La Salle. That was the day I took the DLSU CET without thinking or even imagining studying there. To be honest, I didn’t want to study in La Salle. Thanks to my parents and my Tito for giving me no choice. I wanted to study in UPLB and just transfer to UPD later on (unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the course quota in UPD). But parents would be parents having the authority and yes the money to spend on my tuition fee. One sole reason for not allowing me to study in UPLB – they’re not yet ready that I would be away from them during weekdays since of course I have to live in a dormitory. Oh TLC, maybe because I’m the eldest or whatever, IDK. But I was meant for La Salle or La Salle was meant for me, though at first it didn’t seem to be like that. Inside the walls of La Salle, I have learned a lot of things -- cramming and procrastinating, how to not sleep, how to live in a fast-paced manner (credits to the Trimestral system), how to deal with profs who are utterly in love in making students feel pressured and stressed, how to cut classes (since we cannot do that way back in HS), how to shade properly that scannable multiple choice answer sheet, how to decide where to eat (but I/we still don’t know much about this yet, haha!), how to skip meals, how to deal with different people since you “change” classmates every class and every term (you read it right, that’s the la salle way) but more than these, the values and the knowledge imparted to us. IBA TALAGA PAG LASALISTA KA. Now, I thank God for allowing me to graduate in DE LA SALLE UNIVERSITY MANILA, and to my parents for insisting, now I realize how BLESSED I AM that I was able to study and graduate in such a prominent university. Now, I’m proud to say BUTI NA LANG NAG-LA SALLE AKO! Now I am already a La Salle graduate. Wow! ANIMO LA SALLE!

CONGRATULATIONS TO ME!!! The 3 years and 1 term are all worthy of today’s celebration! Image Hosted by ImageShack.us Image Hosted by ImageShack.us

I’m soooo happy with my parents’ non-extravagant grad gift – a receipt. Thanks Ma & Pa!
