133. A Forced Date!

0
It was planned by someone named Chat without I and RV knowing about it. Thus, forced! It was a holiday, anyway, that we didn't have a choice but to give in. Joke lang, Chat! It was actually a fun breezy day with these two ladies. Might I add that I am the youngest among us three and somehow gave me a 'refreshing' feeling as usually I am the eldest among a group. Binuking ang sarili ko! Idaan na lang sa face value -- people usually guess my age younger! O diba?

Props to RV for the effort of coming all the way from the North to bond with us here at South! And yes, nowhere but in ATC! :)

Pizza, pasta, colors and smoothies -- this is how I summarize how our day had been.

First off, we had our late lunch plus random talks over Cibo's pizza and pasta. Aaah I love Cibo!!

126. Father's Day

0
Before anything else I wanna tell you that I'm not a Daddy's girl. No. I'm not sad and I don't remorse over that fact. If you want to know why, I have a very dramatic theory. And  I won't share it. Lol. But I love my Dad just the same.

My Dad, Papa, as I call him, is one of the most brilliant person I know. He is witty. And he is far more patient than my Mom. He could tell on endless jokes and myths, and horror stories to barbero stories -- he'll never run out of stories to relay. Coming from a brilliant trace of the Clarete's from Bohol, he is one smart guy (that makes me a smart gal yeah!). I always hear of his employees and colleagues alike complimenting him how smart he decides, most especially on those days he was on the upper management of the corporate world. I like a lot of things about my Papa -- we can debate and harmoniously talk on any topic; he is more liberated compared to my Mom hence, I always ask for his permission instead of my mudra; and sometimes he gets me more than my Mom does!

And though he is just not the showy-type in terms of affection, just the same I love you, Papa!

123. Mother's Day

2
Both parents are special to us but nothing beats a mother-daughter tandem. And in my case, I admit that I'm a Mama's girl. I've grown to be spoiled to my Mom. And what I am now is greatly influenced by her -- emotionally, physically (I got most of my genes from her except my built which I got from my grandmother Father's side), the 'instincts', her love for dressing up, her being choosy and even how people have their first impression on us as 'matarays'. Yes, I don't know if those are carried by the genes as well but I sure have a lot of obvious resemblance to my Mom.

Cakes, gifts, flowers, long queue everywhere! No it's not Valentine's day, it's Mother's Day! :)

Our family also celebrated it -- despite 'celebrating it' on a queue for one-third of the time. So next time, I'll make it a point to book reservations.

After attending church service which of course the sermon and the ceremonies are all for our mother dears, I gave her the cake I bought from Tous Les Jours.

106. Birthmonth Day 6: With my Girls

0
If there is one thing in my life that I am always thankful of -- these are my three dearest friends that form a huge part of me. We've been together for more than a decade and we know each other too well. Despite the different paths we are taking in terms of our careers (not to mention our worlds apart work shifts!) we are united in our trusted friendship. Though we live in just one humble city (okay that was until one of us moved a city farther down the map), our schedules don't meet, so, yesterday was an awesome time to catch up with my girls. Of course we chose our ever-so-reliable ATC for our moments together.

We first had our dinner at Amici. This is again somehow my fault 'cos I was again craving for Carbonara. Pizza and Pasta for dinner which we all love and helped appease our tummies.

Awesome Weekend no. 8

0
I'm not feeling well at this moment I'm writing but I just feel the need to blog about an awesome weekend.

Friday, February 19, 2010

What I thought would be just-a-normal-Friday turned out to be awesome! I went straight home after attending my 2-hour part-time job. I satisfied the cravings of my digestive system and my sweet tooth and was already at the comfort of my bed and was about to write a post about how that day was just a normal one when my Mom texted me:

Muntik Na

0

I laughed at myself for almost giving up. Though I don't stick to the cliche "Giving up is never an option", I admit that yesterday and until today, I somehow realized that it would actually do me good if I adhere to it. Muntikan nang matisod. But, sorry, I don't serve you people, I exist because of Him and for Him. Hah. I'm being tested. I almost failed, but thank God, I'm still holding on.

Say goodbye to too much fangirling. Say hello to a whole new world~

0

Come Monday, and hopefully onwards, my schedule would be pretty hectic (artista??). Seriously, I chose that kind of schedule and I need to endure it. I need money. This would be a challenge. I got 'THE CALL' this evening and I was in shock after talking to her. I was thinking way too much that I haven't noticed my Mom entering my room and saw me in a staring-at-space-mood. Lord, help me. To be honest, I have no idea how to start. And what that Jonathan told us is that the beginning is the crucial part of this career. I must be one step ahead. Wah! I am scared.

Sunday no. 49

0
It's the quickest title i can think of (despite the fact I somehow counted)...

I was the MC of our church's 2nd service. It's not an easy task. I was shaking. There were around 400 people in front of me and I was almost lost for words. But of course I asked for the Holy Spirit's guidance and I did pretty well for a first-timer. Oh please, let me do prayers not much of an MC. I know I've been MC-ing for youth gatherings but not for this. I can't live without throwing a lame punchline. Lol. Lame...

And then we had this exam during our youth gathering and it was really like an exam taking by students in class and make the subject Theology. Hahaha! It was a funny experience for our youth group because I seriously saw creased eyebrows and wrinkled foreheads because of too much thinking about the answers. Some of the questions were Bible based, some were taken from lessons taken. Funny how almost of us hear the verses every Sunday/convention/seminars and yet when it's time to fill in the blanks, all we wanna do is grab the Bible we have and look for the right answer. We have yet to know the results on Sunday. Lol. Just like a real exam, we were seated one seat apart. HAHAHAHA!

Parking Lot Getaway

0

Yeah right, I visited the salon for another haircut just this afternoon. I just got my haircut last Monday. Lol. Not contented? Now my bangs gone really SHORTER. But I'm dealing with it. Haha! Julo and I, after chilling at Starbucks ATC, played with his camera in the parking lot. It was fun. I forgot I had some real-life problems to deal with.

Lamest So Far

0
This is my yearly birthday post.

Yes, as what you can read -- it's the lamest. I just feel sad that nothing special happened. Or maybe I was just used to surprises and celebrations the past 21 years. I was used to my Orig4 celebrating it with me -- but this year, it is totally different. SO DIFFERENT that my parents didn't even greet me on Merie-day. So different that I didn't even had a birthday cake. So different... That I just consoled myself that whatever happens for the rest of the week, it's part of my week-long celebration, yeah whatever. After all, I wished for something like this.

even the heavenly bodies give us hope

0
Hello blog! It's already December. Christmas and the dawn of yet another surprising year will be unfolded in a matter of days. I am so excited for this year's last week. So excited for many things. I am excited for the bondings, for the parties and stuff. Excited for the possibility of me and my family going home to our provinces, be it Bohol or Isabela. I am excited to spend Christmas with my relatives. Excited for the fireworks (not the firecrackers, puhleez). And excited to feel the harmony this season brings us, right?

I just want to share what happened for the first few days of the last month.

today is definitely a Sunday

0
I'm supposedly watching THE KATINAS concert by now but i'm blogging from inside my room. My mother didn't give me money to buy tix for some blunder i did last night. Plus, I'm going there alone. Sad.

So i've got a 'new layie' here. Pretty lame layout for me. I'll use this for the mean time. I'm working on a new layie and i'm lazy to tweak and edit and stuff so I ended up making use of a Blogger template. It's Sunday once again. Got home at around 7pm. I missed my church! Today is Praise & Worship celebration Sunday. We celebrate it whenever there's a fifth Sunday, like this month. The line up is nice because my favorite songs were there, nyahaha! I just love praise & worship. I feel privileged to give glory and to sing and to dance for the King of kings. One of the best feelings is praising and giving glory to His name. There was just a 15-minute preaching a while ago. It was about Jesus The Provider. I've written entries on how I still can't seem to find the right job for me. But one thing is for sure -- HE already provided it -- I just have to wait! Thank You LORD! Remember in the Bible how Jesus was able to feed 5000 people (whatever the bible critics say) and how birds get to live everyday when there's actually no one feeding them? And whatever you need right now, just call unto Him, for He is the God that listens and the God who answers our prayers.

The Yearly Berdey Post

0
I have been writing birthday entries since 2005 -- the year I started my online journal. And as much as I want to re-read my Nov9 posts for the past 3 years, I could not do so because of the i-do-not-know-how-my-blog-got-deleted-in-cyberspace-incident. This is the 4th Nov 9 yearly entry. Just shows how time flies so quickly.

A photo-filled and loooong entry. I just love writing loooong entries... And about the photos, my birthdays have always been a take-as-many-pictures-as-you-want-day-slash-photoshoot-day...
