A Good 14 Months

Another lag post. March 28 marks the end of a 14-month chapter of my life. I believe that amidst my rants on my daily publicly commuting to this workplace, good things happened, it was still worth all the while. Thankful for all the people who I have learned something from. I had a wider and better view of life because of them. The breakfast-con-daldalan moments paved way to approaching the everyday-ness with anticipation. The free meals and coffees/coffee-blendeds made it even sweeter. 

I made my last day "sugary" by sharing some Jco treat. And I didn't expect that I'd get a surprise farewell care of the two people who made this chapter even more special, April and Edna. 

Unlike the previous company I came from before this, there was a huge difference in the demographics. I was the bunso of the department here and since most of them are much more experienced than I am in terms of life, in terms of work, relationships etc, I must admit there was a huge learning curve on that part. For that I am truly grateful.

God has made my stay even more likeable by blessing me with April and Edna. They are my confidante in almost everything. They were my greatest encouragers in and out of the workplace. And because of these two, the farewell surprise became possible. Awww they’re so thoughtful!! I was really surprised.

I can say that there were no regrets in this 14-month chapter of my life. It was a good one – interesting, challenging – a learning experience indeed. Whatever my successes are at the moment, it’s partly because of this chapter.

244. Legit VLs

Half-a-year indeed passed by and I’m now a regular employee with my current role as a Business Analyst. What a way to celebrate is by filing a two-day VL. That was my first ever legit VL spent last Monday-Tuesday just waking up beyond the alarm and strolling around the city, got to skip the rush hour part. I was able to watch a movie and stroll inside the malls while the sun’s still up and not yet flocked with people who usually pass through after work shifts.

Monday: It’s a movie Monday and we watched Pacific Rim. If you are familiar with Ayala malls’ ticket stubs, there’s a tiny stub for Timezone and we made use of it. And while we’re in Timezone we took videos just for fun haha! And I’ve compiled the videos of some of the games we played.

Each time I watch this video, I always tear up! These two weirdos!

I've been an avid reader of Patty Laurel and was a witness to her love stories. The day she got married, I felt like, I personally know her and was so happy for her! The Pats are just the cutest weirdo couple I've known!

Their vows are by far the best I've heard! I pray for their lifelong joyous marriage! So sweet! This will be my wedding peg. Not too grand. It is simple yet classic and elegant.

It was planned by someone named Chat without I and RV knowing about it. Thus, forced! It was a holiday, anyway, that we didn't have a choice but to give in. Joke lang, Chat! It was actually a fun breezy day with these two ladies. Might I add that I am the youngest among us three and somehow gave me a 'refreshing' feeling as usually I am the eldest among a group. Binuking ang sarili ko! Idaan na lang sa face value -- people usually guess my age younger! O diba?

Props to RV for the effort of coming all the way from the North to bond with us here at South! And yes, nowhere but in ATC! :)

Pizza, pasta, colors and smoothies -- this is how I summarize how our day had been.

First off, we had our late lunch plus random talks over Cibo's pizza and pasta. Aaah I love Cibo!!

131. Something New With My Lovelies

This is a late post. But before I tell the tale of one Saturday night, can you allow me to rant the reason why I can't seem to blog on time? It's because of my crappy internet connection. It gets me annoyed so easily so I am defeated and usually end up not posting and not being able to do cyber stuff. And right now that I am writing I am thinking of switching to a new one. And my laptop isn't helping that much as well. It has a lot of clutter inside as it was never reformatted for almost five years now! Yes, that's how old my laptop is that I'm thinking of buying a new one or an equivalent. End rant. Thank you.

It took us two months to see each other again but the fondness and the bond with each other did not diminish. It was yet another fun but scary-gory night with my lovelies.

Frustrated Dream-Chaser

I've been dreaming since I was little and it saddens me that the only dream I'm proud of as of now is being able to graduate from college and being a degree-holder. But... From a course I NEVER dreamed of. I will always regret that day I crossed out Clothing Technology as my course choice in UP Diliman. Regretted even more that I didn't made it to the BAA quota but passed the UPCAT accepted scores. "I should've been accepted in UP". Time passed by and through constant talking to my Potter, and musing and wandering a lot in the past months -- I know there's a purpose for having been able to graduate from BSC-Management of Financial Institutions from a prominent university, DLSU-M.

I See the Sky

The sky, the clouds, the rainbow, the stars ~ these are all that cheer me up and help me brighten my day when i'm in a gloomy mood. That photo on the left was shot by me (im no good at photography) yesterday while i'm walking along our street. I came from wandering around the city and i realized again and again and again that life is indeed wonderful. Yesterday is a bliss. Yes, I was alone wandering but I am free ~ that freedom God gave me. I've sort of pondered what have I been doing with the freedom God has granted ~ then too many realizations followed. But at the end of the day I'm grateful and happy.
