Wow kudos Dove for coming up with this Ad campaign. For all the ladies out there, we all can relate to this. At one point we've looked down on ourselves. At one point we thought that we were the ugliest lady alive. We always had a bad hair day, a face that seems always on a breakout. Too full lips. Too thin lips. Flat nose. And c’mon the list is endless. It's hard to embrace ourselves when we see those perfect-faced and perfectly-sculpted bodies everywhere. And then we think lowlier, in a not-so-good way, of ourselves physically. But this ad tells a lot about what we should feel about ourselves.

170. Fashion Friday: VS Swim Summer Spring

Summer and swim wears have a high correlation to each other. Duh. I was just browsing through lookbooks and runway photos for some swim wears just for some eye candies since I really have no summer plans so I'm just doing window online shopping and beach hopping online. I thought of compiling my favorite online swimwear finds (which I might do some other time) and then I came across Victoria's Secret swim/summer/spring collections 2013. And so I ended up liking most of the pieces. I would love to collect them but they are for my eyes only for now because first, I don't think they would suit me well and second, I have other far more valuable things to spend on than these hahaha! Please look at the SWIMWEARS and not the alluring faces and captivating body (can't help it ba?). I want my blog very wholesome but I just feel like posting these swimwear chicness. Walang malisya. Haha! So here you go.

One word: Vintage. Some words: spectacles, sheer, cotton, skirts, prints, headdress, hair dress, bag -- words I would relate to her style and these are the stuff that easily catches my attention each time she's got a new post on her outfit. I have always liked her vintage vibe. Though I can not fully see me don some of her mix and matches, I would still raid her closet for all those vintage-looking finds, all those sheers, all those print and all those shorts and skirts and dresses and ribbons!! I also like the way she can pull off all those vintage shoes. One adorable vintage-dresser.

On Holy Weeks most especially on the Thursday and Friday of it, years back, if we are not elsewhere taking vacation away from the city, my parents would always take me with them to church hearing the teachings on the Seven Last Words of Jesus. But ever since I got into the corporate world, snatching away most of the Philippine holidays away from me (lol), I have not attended such again. One thing that I like about attending this kind of service is being able to reflect on the very essence of why there is a holy week. It's not just about having vacation. It's also about reflecting on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus did around 2000 years ago. All because of the Father's GREAT GREAT UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. But let me also say that holy week is not just the only time to reflect, there are 51 other weeks and 358 other days to do it.

165. Boo Boo Day Wednesday

Today was a tad off for me. I have a really good share of booboos at work and sending wrong emails and wrong reports. Not dwelling. So a spontaneous trip to the salon is what I felt like I needed. I need something to make me feel good. I've been going to Angelo Falconi Salon but they close early for my end of shift that lead me to try Azta Urban Salon @ ATC. Apart from the work-related stress it's high time for a trim which well didn't seem like a trim. Chopped off more than an inch. And my treat for myself -- tried out their lycopene treatment as per their suggestion. I super like the feeling on the scalp while they were applying it! Perfect for the hot weather. Super cool menthol effect. It made my hair soft as well. Good enough for a spur of the moment trip. So to the booboos that happened, beh, I have a newly treated hair!! Haha!☺

It was a day, some days or a week of vacation for most, but I was stuck in front of my work desk doing my share on the corporate world! You know what's really weird, we were asked to work but the boss in Hong Kong is actually on leave. Cool yeah. But I wasn't really complaining as on the brighter side it was a double pay day! That's a good way of compensating that day off I wouldn't be paid for because I am not a regular employee yet.

Talk about having ample time on my hands, actually trying not to have a buhay lola tonight and trying not to sleep at 1:13AM (despite needing to wake-up at most 6AM), Tuesday, April 2, so I'm blogging about Karla Deras of Karla's Closet. I've been following her blog since 200~ okay I can't remember but it's been years! The thing I like about her style is her ability to mix and match without looking blatantly attention-savvy, and still be able to look really classy even in sweatshirts. She's like someone off the runway but in a really subtle way. Classy, elegant, light -- are some of the words I would use to describe her style. I would totally raid her wardrobe most especially her pointed shoes and gold stuff! I would also want to have my hair styled as hers but not enough guts me has. Haha.

155. Fashion Friday: Fascination on Bird Prints

While thinking of a theme for a summer collection I'm working with a friend, I suddenly thought of birds. It's just appropriate that bird print is associated with summer trend. I don't think you see that much birds flying other than the sunny/spring season.
I'm pretty sure you've seen not just one person wearing bird print. As for me, I am easily drawn by the print. If only I'm not restraining myself from shopping since last year, I could have spent quite a lot for anything bird-print related. I wouldn't mind having a closet filled with it!
So in replacement with the real-pocket-hurting shopping, I resorted to my ever reliable hobby of window shopping online. And below are some of my picks. Aaah! I would love to wear them!
