And these are what we ate at Vue Bar (Bellevue Hotel Manila) for dinner. Nothing really special but it was better than just filling our tummies. We liked how they tasted like. The serving is generous enough. The Caldereta met our expectations, most especially of Luke's who loves eating this type of dish.

Thankful Thursday: My Design and I Hit Philippine Star :)

I was supposed to post this last week but because I was too busy at and off work, obviously I’m posting this just today. Pang-ilang post ko na yata ‘to pertaining to me winning Ensembles’ Wear My Design contest, since last year pa. But I couldn’t thank Him enough all because I still wasn’t expecting these things to happen months after winning.
Allow me to pour my sentiments related to this matter. Being part of a clan, most especially among the Clarete branch I am under, there is this pressure of having your name printed anywhere because you passed a licensure exam! Totoo! May mga ganong angkan, and I guess most parents would be so proud to see prefixes or suffixes added to their child’s name, seeing their child’s name online, on a board inside PRC, and in … newspapers. I remember that day when my sister passed the Chemical Engineering’s licensure exam; my parents bought newspapers right away; looked for her name; they haven’t done it yet, but we all know what comes next, it would be placed inside a frame. Yes! You may think it’s funny, but I had this frustration! However, unlike anyone else, I can’t bring myself to take up a course with a licensure exam. Well, I tried, but I just can’t.

Here’s another outfit post. It’s becoming a regular!! But in fact I don’t think I have any pending outfit post after this hahaha! Anyway, this is what I wore on the third Saturday of this year. That day, our book club had its very first official meeting. Weeks from then however, we still can’t think of a name! Hahaha! Help, anyone? This outfit is perfect for that weekend. It’s comfortable except that, again, I’m wearing a skirt so I can’t just squat anywhere. If you remember this post, I am wearing the same skirt, only in different color, which I bought from The Berries. I would love to have the rest of the colors but as I’ve mentioned many times, I. NEED. TO. SAVE. So maybe the skirt goddesses could just randomly send me a package containing lots of skirts in it. The striped cover is from Nava Ph which I especially like. I’ve been using it regularly since I bought it last year. I’m also wearing Necktee from Pompyang Tayo which can now be bought at Bratpack in Greenbelt 5. :) Of course the shoes, my first ever Sperry pair was given by my boss amo, the love of my life, my baby, my bebelgam, Luke. Siya talaga highlight ng post na to e hindi yung outfit hahaha! And yes, I loooove this pair!! And that’s it…. I’m done with this post!

June 2009
Hayyyy, lately I’ve been longing to travel but no, I can’t. I have a lot of other matters on my shoulders and I need to start saving, as in really really save! Why is life so mean?? This kiddo here needs a lot of money, oh money money money! Haha! Anyway, here’s another travel throwback, part two actually of the previous Travel Tuesday. It’s been FIVE long years since this trip and my longing to go back to Bohol intensifies! Hayyyy! I need vacation!! I need to travel!!! Ok so going back, let these old photos with the nene me do the talking…
It’s a day at the beach. This is particularly in Dumaluan beach resort. We rented a cottage. It’s a fine-weathered day; perfect to just chill by the sea on the white sand.

As Julie’s flying to Mumbai for a business trip, we had dinner together with the Garcia family at Mesa in Greenbelt 5. They serve sumptuous Filipino dishes! It was also fun bonding with Tita Beth and Tito Jed and Julie’s sisters, Angel and Grace. What a fun family to be with.

February 3, Monday eve, was spent celebrating the best sister’s 20th++ birthday! Hayyyy she used to be cute really really cute and now she’s just plain annoying hahaha! It was another family dinner feat my boss amo, Luke. We had some Japanese cuisine at Mogu in Serendra, and we enjoyed the food!! Maka-Filipino food ang pamilya ko so the fact that we enjoyed every bit of what we ordered is something new. Hihi!

WIW: Going Back Escolta

What I wore during our second participation in 98B Collab’s Future Saturday Market in Escolta. I know I’m a bit overdressed but couldn’t care less I just want to feel good that day. The skirt is from Kashieca which I bought a year ago but it was my first time to use it. I have that tendency hahaha and my Mom scolds me for it. I also like this midrib blouse I purchased in last year’s Noel Bazaar in WTC. If only I could use midribs every day. If there’s one thing I should be proud of my body is that I have a flat tummy. Yun nga lang inexistent boobs and butt, ayun flat din hahaha! At least I don’t look like a bulate but sometimes I do look like that alien from the MIB movie when I just ate an awful lot, yung lumalagpas na yung tummy ko sa boobs ko. Anyway, why was I even discussing this? Aaah I was saying I like midribs because I’m not bothered if my flat tummy is having a lot of exposure haha! Anyway, summer’s near so I’ll have a reason to wear such tops again. :D

IT"S SUPER LATE but I thought of posting this just because it’s the first time that I was able to bond with Luke’s college friends. Though Luke joins my circle of friends’ eat-outs and happenings from time to time, it’s not the case otherwise. I was already able to dine with them after watching a UAAP game but this time around I got to well spend more time with them. It was their Christmas party December 21 of last year at Music Bank and what to do there? Sing the night away. We had coffee afterwards too. looking forward to meeting them again, right, Luke? :P

What I wore before changing to my retro-themed outfit for the company Christmas party last year. I needed to go to the party venue earlier than the rest because we needed to rehearse the full choreography and also practice our stage blocking for our dance number. I especially like how this outfit emphasized my purple necktee. It’s a good scarf counterpart. I discovered them when TDC participated in 98B Collab Saturday Future Market. They are also available in Bratpack in Greenbelt 5. Anyway, this was a really comfy outfit I wish I could wear at work every day!

To The Best Sister

Happiest birthday to my brilliant, smart, witty and beautiful wacky-patootie-sister-engineer inside and out! Thanks for being the best sister I could possibly have! Thanks for all the love and the care and the support system that I needed. I love you more than you know. I’m sorry for my shortcomings as the Ate. Thank you for always understanding my bipolarity. Thanks for not giving up on me, not giving up on our crazy family. I’m claiming great things ahead of you. With your genuinely kind heart, God-given wisdom, smart abilities, I know you’ll go a long way. I know you’ll be successful in whatever undertaking you decide to dive into. Just always be strong and I might not seem like it, but I’m always here. I love you so much, Queza. Sisters forever! No choice ako haha! But please stop jumping up and down on my bed just to wake me up; or forcing me to watch crazy Youtube videos. You never fail in annoying me in whatever possible way you can think of, matanda ka na ayoko na nyaaaan hahaha!

| Roast Beef in Mushroom Gravy Sauce Thin slices of top sirloin beef roasted to perfection covered with mushroom sauce (Php275.00) |
I ordered for myself their Roast Beef in Mushroom Gravy Sauce. It tastes normal for my taste buds – nothing really special. I should have ordered their bestseller one but I must admit I wasn’t prepared to splurge. Hahaha! But due to my grumbling tummy, my meal somehow felt short. Haha!
