Spring/summer = flowers. It looks appropriate to wear floral on sunny days. And sometimes it brings you good vibes to wear floral, feeling blooming ka rin! It can be worn from the beach to the office, as long as you choose the appropriate type/color of footwear and accessories to pair it with. It would be nice to fill your closet even just a piece of floral dress. I have chosen below a few floral dresses of which most have some vintagey vibe with it.

Last year, I’ve kept a daily grateful journal and also posted them daily on my Twitter account hash-tagged #gratefuljournal. For this blog I’m thinking and hopefully I can do it religiously just like last year, of posting "Thankful Thursdays" to mention the things I am thankful about. It might be a humongous trying to be profound post haha or simply a list. And here comes another post on the quarter-life-crisis series. Lol. I’m kidding. But maybe it’s half-meant. Haha! When I think about the future, to be honest, it scares me. I have seen a lot of lives in front of me of which some I have even seen unfold. Not all of them are amazing. Some were fabulous. Some are so-so. And some sadly didn't turn out fine. It created fears inside me. At the back of my mind, I told myself, I don’t want to end up like that. Not good. And do you ever have the feeling that you feel like what you’re doing right now that you believe to be rightful at the moment feels like would not help you on your dream future? (Gulo ba basta yun…) Or help create your dreams into reality? And you just can’t get an explanation out of it? Nag-aral naman ako nang mabuti... Nakapagtapos naman ako... I have a diploma... Bakit si ganyan hindi naman ganito... Siya nga mas tamad pa sa kin blablabla... Aminin, the list of questions doesn’t end there. It feels like it’s happening, it’s just going down the gutter for you-feel-like no apparent reason at all! I’m just human gifted with overflowing sensitivity and emotional factors haha and I feel such sometimes.

That's my Mama up there with me (with the flower hair band and power bangs), my sister (with the coolest sunshine-y shades everrrr) and my youngest sib/brother (who doesn't look amazed with his cake haha so cuute). That photo was taken 17 years ago. Up to this day my dearest mother is still taking care of us. She provides our basic needs and irreplaceable love, care and seemingly never-ending understanding!! What's fascinating is that it comes with a free sermon everyday!!! Kidding!!

Wow kudos Dove for coming up with this Ad campaign. For all the ladies out there, we all can relate to this. At one point we've looked down on ourselves. At one point we thought that we were the ugliest lady alive. We always had a bad hair day, a face that seems always on a breakout. Too full lips. Too thin lips. Flat nose. And c’mon the list is endless. It's hard to embrace ourselves when we see those perfect-faced and perfectly-sculpted bodies everywhere. And then we think lowlier, in a not-so-good way, of ourselves physically. But this ad tells a lot about what we should feel about ourselves.

172. Weekend Getaway

And so the just-ended weekend was fun. Had a quick summer getaway at Tagaytay. Finally it pushed through kahit Tagaytay lang. Kahit Tagaytay lang pwede na just because this heat is killing me! It was my first time to stay overnight at Tagaytay and it was gooooood. Despite the fact that people keep saying that Tagaytay's weather is not as cold as before, I was still amazed that we really don't need to switch on the AC unit in our room to get rid of the heat.

170. Fashion Friday: VS Swim Summer Spring

Summer and swim wears have a high correlation to each other. Duh. I was just browsing through lookbooks and runway photos for some swim wears just for some eye candies since I really have no summer plans so I'm just doing window online shopping and beach hopping online. I thought of compiling my favorite online swimwear finds (which I might do some other time) and then I came across Victoria's Secret swim/summer/spring collections 2013. And so I ended up liking most of the pieces. I would love to collect them but they are for my eyes only for now because first, I don't think they would suit me well and second, I have other far more valuable things to spend on than these hahaha! Please look at the SWIMWEARS and not the alluring faces and captivating body (can't help it ba?). I want my blog very wholesome but I just feel like posting these swimwear chicness. Walang malisya. Haha! So here you go.

One word: Vintage. Some words: spectacles, sheer, cotton, skirts, prints, headdress, hair dress, bag -- words I would relate to her style and these are the stuff that easily catches my attention each time she's got a new post on her outfit. I have always liked her vintage vibe. Though I can not fully see me don some of her mix and matches, I would still raid her closet for all those vintage-looking finds, all those sheers, all those print and all those shorts and skirts and dresses and ribbons!! I also like the way she can pull off all those vintage shoes. One adorable vintage-dresser.

On Holy Weeks most especially on the Thursday and Friday of it, years back, if we are not elsewhere taking vacation away from the city, my parents would always take me with them to church hearing the teachings on the Seven Last Words of Jesus. But ever since I got into the corporate world, snatching away most of the Philippine holidays away from me (lol), I have not attended such again. One thing that I like about attending this kind of service is being able to reflect on the very essence of why there is a holy week. It's not just about having vacation. It's also about reflecting on the ultimate sacrifice Jesus did around 2000 years ago. All because of the Father's GREAT GREAT UNCONDITIONAL LOVE. But let me also say that holy week is not just the only time to reflect, there are 51 other weeks and 358 other days to do it.

166. The Croods > G.I.Joe (Two Movies One Night)

Last Saturday, 30th of March, was a double movie night with Luke!! This was actually our first time doing such! It's all because we both heard of good feedback of The Croods and at the same time we were having excitingly great expectations for G.I. Joe Retaliation. And so after a good massage at Blue Water Day Spa (they really have good ambiance and service), we headed to Newport Cinemas for our dose of cuteness and fun and action and adventure -- releasing the kiddies in us!

165. Boo Boo Day Wednesday

Today was a tad off for me. I have a really good share of booboos at work and sending wrong emails and wrong reports. Not dwelling. So a spontaneous trip to the salon is what I felt like I needed. I need something to make me feel good. I've been going to Angelo Falconi Salon but they close early for my end of shift that lead me to try Azta Urban Salon @ ATC. Apart from the work-related stress it's high time for a trim which well didn't seem like a trim. Chopped off more than an inch. And my treat for myself -- tried out their lycopene treatment as per their suggestion. I super like the feeling on the scalp while they were applying it! Perfect for the hot weather. Super cool menthol effect. It made my hair soft as well. Good enough for a spur of the moment trip. So to the booboos that happened, beh, I have a newly treated hair!! Haha!☺

It was a day, some days or a week of vacation for most, but I was stuck in front of my work desk doing my share on the corporate world! You know what's really weird, we were asked to work but the boss in Hong Kong is actually on leave. Cool yeah. But I wasn't really complaining as on the brighter side it was a double pay day! That's a good way of compensating that day off I wouldn't be paid for because I am not a regular employee yet.

Talk about having ample time on my hands, actually trying not to have a buhay lola tonight and trying not to sleep at 1:13AM (despite needing to wake-up at most 6AM), Tuesday, April 2, so I'm blogging about Karla Deras of Karla's Closet. I've been following her blog since 200~ okay I can't remember but it's been years! The thing I like about her style is her ability to mix and match without looking blatantly attention-savvy, and still be able to look really classy even in sweatshirts. She's like someone off the runway but in a really subtle way. Classy, elegant, light -- are some of the words I would use to describe her style. I would totally raid her wardrobe most especially her pointed shoes and gold stuff! I would also want to have my hair styled as hers but not enough guts me has. Haha.
