Travel Tuesday: The First Disneyland Experience

0
Another highlight of our Hong Kong trip was Disneyland of course. We were kids for a day! From the train ride to the fireworks display, one would really feel giddy and would totally understand why people label Disneyland as the "happiest place on earth". It was pure fun and excitement. It's still thrilling to see, despite any age, ALL the Disney characters that you once saw and "played" with as a kid in "real flesh" and big in front of you! The theme park, despite the rides being really kids-friendly, have lots of wonderful sights and will give a number of amazing things. :) There's no way to explain it but experiencing the park itself :) I'll leave you with lots of photos below!

If I have lots of cash I would have definitely hoarded Disney stuff in the shops in the park!! The parade brought back a lot of childhood memories -- cartoons and movies and childhood feels!

The Toy Story land must have been our favorite area in the park. :)

And we've seen the Lion King show!! I felt happy being able to watch a live Hakuna Matata performance! Haha!
And this is the MAGICAL part, one of my dreams, to witness the fireworks at Sleeping Beauty's castle! Sarap sa feeling watching it with someone special. :) Yes, I have to admit I teared up. Hahaha! I am just that attached to fireworks, okay! Haha!

Katya of The First Miss Merie Bridal Gown

0
A month before the first ever Miss Merie bride walks the aisle and I feel somehow stressed and excited at the same time. I have been praying for this one and "that" moment will soon arrive. Eeeep! Anyway, the above photo is the katya/canvass form of the wedding gown itself and I can't wait to see the actual one. My bride is really a simple one hence her gown reflects a lot her personality, nothing grandeur, a simple pure white gown. Hayyyyy fast forward to the wedding day please?? Haha!

Travel Tuesday: Ngong Ping Village

0
Let me share with you a short photo diary through this throwback post, still on our Hong Kong trip series. We roamed a little around Ngong Ping village. At that time I can picture myself staying there for long hours, sipping on coffee inside a shop, just having my solo time. This village has a peaceful vibe to it. There are a number of varied shops in this village as well as coffee shops, cafes, and restaurants. It's like a little historical place. It amused me and if we only had the luxury of time I would have opted to look inside each establishment there.

Thankful Thursday: October Edition

0

01 Was not able to take photos today. But as I began October, I feel thankful that I feel motivated to face this last quarter. The photo above is something I noted to myself a week ago.

02 The joy of window shopping for furnitures , gathering some pegs and imagining my future office..

03 My kind of me-time this Friday night. I have always been thankful for alone times.

04 Being surrounded by fabrics make me feel like I’m in the happiest place on earth. Haha! Thankful that I managed to source all the fabrics I need for the wedding.

05 Super thankful for this day of quality time with my boss amo.

06 And it officially began. A month delay and thought of even pushing it back but the Lord is good! This space would soon be a place of my childhood dreams coming alive. Big dreams, tiny space, tiny steps, big God.

08 Approved designs. Changed shift today hence made room for more time to sideline haha!

09 Finally tried Yushoken ramen house!! Thankful for tonight’s catch up with an officemate. I missed coffee and dinner dates, spontaneous ones.

10 Overtime but was able to make time for some arrangements.

11 Blessed to have attended the annual Saved Festival. Pure joy to praise and worship that Man up there. Suppppeeerrrr blessed!

12 Another catch up night with two of my favorite people.

13 A long Monday but fulfilling one. Today I realized that I may not be very blessed with material wealth but with people.

14 I feel thankful and blessed with the lives of the five people working on this place. I’m sincerely praying for them and I would like to extend any help that I can.

15 Clients.

16 It will take quite some time but I feel excited.

17 I didn’t like how this turned out to be. But I am glad and thankful that finally it’s done!

18 I always feel happy for learning opportunities

19 Been looking for a copy since its release. And thankful for Sketchbook I got one! I just need a creative companion in this form.

20 What reminded me as I started my Monday. Thankful that even in random online arts I am reminded of things that I should do and accomplish.

21 This brand of coffee with the “packaging” and a “sweet” note is something that made my Tuesday. Oh thoughtfulness reaches deep.

22 Pan de sal mornings and bonding. Thankful that gradually or momentarily, it feels good to be at work with mornings shared like this.

23 Dinner with teammate and someone to vent out to.

24 Returning clients and my much needed me-time.

25 Aahh reunited with my high school barkada. So blessed with my set of friends! What a night of fun and laughter!

26 Talks over coffee on books, travel and life and of fulfilled dreams. Was able to watch a movie with the book club too. I love our book club!!

27 Feel-good for today, seeing these CBTL planners!

28 The collection’s coming to life, slowly.

29 Pamper day! Gel-ed fingernails and pedicured too!! Weee! Getting ready for my birth-month!

30 Thankful for budgeted expenses slowly being paid.

31 This photo is captured by a new phone! Yay!! …After more than two years and after seeing my old phone dying on me and timely enough something to use for our trip.

October Dates

0
Hooray that October did not pass by without me having dates other than my sweet and understanding boyfriend. I like eating and trying out restaurants, not necessarily those munchpunch or pepper.ph or zomato or all those food blog worthy food and restaurants. More than the food, and despite my being introvert, I like catching up with people who are likewise willing to spend time with me. So the past month…

October 9

Finally ramen at Yushoken (Molito branch) with Noey!! What a catch-up before she headed to the US that time. Had coffee afterwards as well. Blessed to know and be friends with this pretty lady. Ever since I transferred to Alabang, she’s been one of the people I can be natural with hahaha!

I loooove their ramen!!! But I must confess I would have savoured it more if not because no spoon and fork available! Hahaha!

October 12
Quick catch up -- dinner at Culasa along Bautista and coffee at Starbucks with my two favorite people! I miss RV always!! Anyway, Culasa is such an overrated cafe! Overpriced everything!

Overpriced rice at Php40!!
October 13

I was on leave so it was a day of meeting people. I met a total of six people this day! It was both tiring and fun!
After some client meetings, and I was already at The Fort area, of course it was a much-needed catch-up with my former officemates Edna and Ave! I missed these two sooooo much!!! We tried Stacy’s and it was a charming and quaint place. Hence, the photos below. Loved what we ate, too!
Missed these two!!
Missed my partner so much!!
On this same date, I had Potato Corner cheese fries and tried Baskin Robbins at Central Square Mall with Micah.
October 23

Dinner with Xizelle at Recovery Food in Molito. It’s always fun talking to her! Also one of the people I can be natural with hahahaha! Aw I miss being teammates with Noey and Xiz!
October 25

Birthday dinner celebration of Nik and Nel, our Berks’ October celebrants. It’s been a while since the last time I was with them and I definitely missed their company! We had dinner at Jayjay’s in Aguirre, BF and then headed to Tuballa residence for some booze and “Times are hard” card game! Haha! Babawi ako sa card game na to!
October 26

Gone Girl movie date with the book club! Gone Girl was our book club’s first book we discussed. We enjoyed watching the movie and we liked how it was adapted. We somehow enjoyed the audience’s reaction while watching hahaha! There’s a huge difference watching the movie already knowing what happens in the book. It was joy for us! Hahaha! We also had our coffee and dinner at Toby’s Estate prior watching and we loved the coffee! I love this group of ours – for the love of food, coffee, books and travelling. Also glad to know that one member continue to soar higher and fulfill her dreams!! So happy seeing people achieving what they want!
Flat White
And that’s all for October. Bracing myself for the last two months of 2014. It would be pretty hectic but wishing still that I could squeeze in dates with people who matter.
