Bamba Bistro Birthday Dinner

0
Bambaaaaaa Bamba Bistro! Sister's birthday sumptuous dinner was at Bamba Bistro, guess where?? Still along Aguirre Avenue in BF Homes! I chanced upon this on one of Patty Laurel's blog posts. I have to agree with her positive review of the place and the menu. It was a Tuesday evening and still the place was packed! It is not big enough. We were already seated outside the reason why I don't have much photos of the place. One downside is the serving time which took about at least thirty minutes for a meal to be served. Hence, this might be a good venue for catching up, plenty of time haha! What we ordered that night was worth the wait and their prices.
French Fries Moderne - feta, honey, fried rosemary Php 190
I LOVE this!!!
Baby Back Ribs Php450
Bitin!!!
Crispy Lapu Lapu Php490
MOST LIKED dish that night! Yummy yummy crispy lapu lapu fillet!
Lamb Adobo Php395
An interesting take on lamb meat. I believe this is one must-try in their menu. The distinct taste of lamb meat is evident in this dish.

Que's Birthday

0
It's two months overdue but my one and only thus the best sister's birthday is worth a space here in my personal nook online! I couldn't ask for any better person to be my sister other than Queza. A very down-to-earth,  nice, hardworking, responsible, wise and bright, basta napakabait at napakabuting tao my sister is! It's funny looking back on those two decades and so on how we grew up and now we are both trying to get past through our "adult problems"! Hahaha! Parang kailan lang when she was one cutie patootie grey-eyed bald baby girl and now she's grown to be the best in bullying me! My only prayer is for her to grow even more, to be the best woman God intended her to be. I know she will.
On the second of February, as part of sorta early celebration, we dined in at Mama Lou's in BF Homes. Mama has been wanting to eat there and so we did that night. Oh how it satisfied our tummies! Mama Lou's has been consistently meeting my expectations so far. I understand why it does not run out customers. :) We also had our dessert at Milky Moustache after which I would also be posting about next.

Orig4 Yellow Christmas

0

And here is a post on our annual paying-it-forward and Christmas party with my lovelies! It was another meaningful fulfilling tear-jerking moments of giving. This time, we chose the gasoline station boys and security guards working hard during those holidays! Ang sarap sa feeling!! We then thought of doing it semi-annually. We'll see. :)

We started of course by grocery shopping and Metro Gaisano was still our top choice! We opted to give away sandwiches with something sweet and something to quench their thirst.
The mandatory grocery shopping photo with my girls fear. Rabbie!
We checked-in at Parque Espana Residence Hotel since it's an apartment style with the utilities we need for our preparations.
Elevator groupie!

Christmas Day 2014

0
For this year's Christmas day, I went to work. YES I WENT TO WORK HOORAY! But it's not much of a big deal as I got to go home early and there was not much workload anyway. And as I came from work I took a nap! Haha! Yes I took a nap on Christmas day! I slept really late the night before to welcome our Balikbayan relatives and had our rather late noche buena. Our celebration for this year was a simple dinner out at a breakfast restaurant, Early Bird Breakfast Club. I was able to dine in here a couple of times already but those were in their BGC branch. For this Christmas day, we opted for that one in Century City Mall. Halik sa lupa first time namin lahat sa mall na 'yun haha! We were sure we are going to be caught in Christmas traffic that this year we stayed away from Tagaytay and Nuvali area. But I am not even sure why we went all the way to this mall to have breakfast for Christmas dinner. Anyway, it was sumptuous.
Photo with my pretty sister who was all girly and wearing lipstick that day! Ang ganda niya di ba??
Clarete siblings. Oh gosh I feel old!!! Hahaha!
Happy that Luke spent a part of his Christmas day with us. :)
And below are some of the dishes we ordered. Hihi I forgot to take note of our orders and to take the photos of every order.Nakakasawa na rin pala pa-minsan. Haha!
Viva Longganisa (Php345)
Yin & Yang Champorado (Php275) My favorite!!!

127. Good Times with Friends!

0
An anonymous saying goes “Books and friends should be few but good.” I don’t just agree but totally can relate to it – both in books and friends. Let me dwell on ‘friends’. Having few but definitely REAL friends is way better than a lot of on and off shallow friendships. It’s better to have few of whom you can surely turn to on down times than to be passed around to those numerous friends. But I am not against having many friends! If you’ve really got a lot of trustful ones, then you are blessed! Having few friends -- I blame it for my being introvert, my conservative parents, being a home buddy – content with art and reading materials, writing medium some TV shows. I may have a few but I’m more than definite to keep them for the rest of the time I’m breathing air.

126. Father's Day

0
Before anything else I wanna tell you that I'm not a Daddy's girl. No. I'm not sad and I don't remorse over that fact. If you want to know why, I have a very dramatic theory. And  I won't share it. Lol. But I love my Dad just the same.

My Dad, Papa, as I call him, is one of the most brilliant person I know. He is witty. And he is far more patient than my Mom. He could tell on endless jokes and myths, and horror stories to barbero stories -- he'll never run out of stories to relay. Coming from a brilliant trace of the Clarete's from Bohol, he is one smart guy (that makes me a smart gal yeah!). I always hear of his employees and colleagues alike complimenting him how smart he decides, most especially on those days he was on the upper management of the corporate world. I like a lot of things about my Papa -- we can debate and harmoniously talk on any topic; he is more liberated compared to my Mom hence, I always ask for his permission instead of my mudra; and sometimes he gets me more than my Mom does!

And though he is just not the showy-type in terms of affection, just the same I love you, Papa!

112. Birthmonth Day 19 Finally Mr. Hari ng Sablay

0
No matter how long it took him, he graduated!

I have this close friend whom I always pick on when it comes to ‘studies’. It’s a friendly teasing and some sort of inside joke. So we celebrated his graduation at his crib. He was the host. Gujab gujab Eo! :) It was also good catching up with my friends though we were also together last week. We ate and ate and ate and talked and spent time on the psychological tests. We went home at around 6 in the morning. I can’t remember when was the last time I stayed late with my HS friends.

So the photos…
